Ceramic mixer : Model : CM50
Description: The CM50 thoroughly mixes ceramic powders with thermoplastic binders to form a hot viscous mass or slurry, for injection moulding. The ceramic powder(s) and thermoplastic binders are added to the mixer at a preferred composition/ratio. The machine heaters hold the mass at a constant preset temperature for mixing. The vessel is held under vacuum to exhaust any gases and prevent air entrapment within the Ceramic slurry during mixing. Thus, the unit consists of the following main sub-systems.
- a) A SS316 Mixing Vessel.
- Agitator.
- A thermic fluid Jacket and Heating system.
- Vacuum system.
Mixing Procedure:
The machine is switched on and temperature is set to preferred values. At preset temperature, a fixed quantity of thermoplastic binder is fed to the vessel – shut the lid – switch on the agitator. After the binder melts – switch off agitator – open lid – add ceramic powders in required quantity- shut lid – switch on agitator. You may set mixing time. At eof mix time an audio-visual alarm is activated. The batch may be unloaded.

- The drive side has appropriate seals & bearings for smooth operation.
- A geared motor is mixer drive.
- Oil flooded Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump with Inlet dust filter.
- Switch gear with Overload protection.
- Oil jacketed heating with a thermic oil heater.
- Thermic oil circulation pump
- Digital PID Temperature Control.
